Send me a ⭐ if I’m one of your favorite mutuals and explain why ||Accepting||
//dramatic sniffs Blaise, MY BELOVED. I adore the way that you find Haru cute and lively even if in the Varia au she is absolutely not cute AHASLDKFJALDKJFALSKF She's just like hello time to maim? MURDER? * w * Oh Varia--- I absolutely adore you, and I am very biased with how much I love Luca. You've said that if anything happens I would win a custody battle for Luca and I secretly laugh about it all the time.
OUR LUCA [lol]
I am weak for good doggo boys, so I am biased for Luca, but your other Varia OCs are great too! Luca is best boy because he also gets along with my OC Ravein. Then you throw Haru into the mix and you got the dumbest, dumbest, and the dumb trio lololol.
I'm always ready to aggressively pom pom you whenever you need it. Just remember that i'm always proud of you and that no matter how hard life gets, i'm always rooting for you! I will be ready with my pompoms.
Also, anytime I see [muse dies] I think of you because of that small time in which we were both quaking at the idea that we'd try to kill our own muses in front of the other muse and we're both protective of each other's muse. I won't let you kill off Luca. HMPH.
Good times, good times. I still quake in fear if I see that in a meme and I think to myself, 'Blaise isn't around right? Surely she won't come out suddenly just to kill off Luca and make me cry? SURELY NOT?'
#Voraxiia#Meme answered#Answered ask#Thanks for the ask!#Neo speaks#((Neo said low effort memes tonight- proceeds to write a bunch anyways. I'm a clown your honor))#((I can't help it i'm passionate and I love my friends))

Singing Disney Songs
a/n: no thoughts. What singing disney songs would be like with Seijoh, Nekoma and Inarizaki I have no idea why I did this. Its in drabble form and in whole team form (which i’ve never done). Featuring HSM, Starstuck and Hannah Montana
wc: 1.1K
Seijoh: best boys to do it with. Core 4 in all their chaos? Sign me up! Oikawa, Makki, Mattsun are all down 110%. Iwa is down by default to keep your messy asses in line (but he lowkey wanted to do it too). Everyone knows all the words to EVERY song.Y’all get into a heated debate about which high school musical had the most bangers. Makki and Mattsun are like “come on now how can you not say HSM 2” and someone else like you chimes in “because everyday is boring as shit. They act like their in a cult.” So y’all end up going through the HSM discography taking tallies. This concludes that HSM 2 had the best songs. As y’all just sit there listening, you cross off some songs automatically and Oikawa is like “Gabriella’s songs are boring as shit.” Anyways y’all force Iwa to do the dance to “We’re all in this together” and he leaves y’all shook because he has RHYTHM. oikawa on the other hand—. Iwa simp hours for a large part of it with all y’all being like “Be the Troy to my Gabriella” He hates u all :) At some point y’all are just drunk karaoking to HSM. Dancing on the coffee table and couches to What Time is It (which if y’all were sober yeah Iwa would murder u all). “Bro remember when people used to call u the king?” and that leads to you and oikawa tryna turn Fabulous into a duet. Both drunk on the 2 couches pretending you're at a pool making the others be the little servers. Makki and Mattsun decide to reenact Gotta go My own way. Very drunk and dramatic. Rubbing all over each other's faces. Pulling away then running back doing the most. Yall force drunk Iwa to do Bet on It. Hes seen it so many times and is too intoxicated to not do it so mans goes all out. Does troy dumbass jumping and yall are the best hypemen. Someone is recording but yall can barely hear him through the loud ass cheering and laughing.
Nekoma: Another fun team to do this with. Yall do the unappreciated movies like STARSTRUCK. Kuroo is a sucker for those and yall both swear up and down the its one of the best and deserved more than it ever got. (He knows all the words to these songs). Yall do this while your on a roadtrip. One of those vans so its you, kuroo (in the driver/passenger), kenma, yaku, kai, lev, fukunaga. Up front yall are living your best lives “Something about the sunshine babyyyyyyyyyyy” acting like the main characters and shit. Someone brings up what if you all played Starstruck characters. “Lev looks the most like Christopher Wilde. Lanky, no rhythm. creepy eyes when he stares too long-” “Hey!” Back to the music. We all know you and kuroo know all the words, lev is pretty good and knows most so hes able to keep up. Yaku is like 50/50. Kai, babe only knows the main ones and only partially. Sits and smiles and laughs at his friends. Gets songs dedicated to him by all of you. Kenma? Don't care. Hes really only on this trip because you guys are his friends. This is one of his least fav disney movies so truly is in mental anguish trying to tune yall out. Fukunaga only knows Stubby’s verses so does the rapping. Lots of “AYEEEEE” going around. Very hype when those songs come on. Lev tries to sing What You Mean to Me to Kenma, but just gets told to shut up. Being very loud and obnoxious with all of them save for Kenma to Starstruck. If you stop at a red light the neighboring cars can probably hear yall’s screeching. Yaku is most likely to be recording the monstrosity on his snap chat, but will not catch himself slipping and entertaining yall. He has a reputation to upkeep. For songs only you and Kuroo know (like welcome to hollywood) he takes one hand off the wheel to hold at you like a microphone. Plays the acoustic and regular version of Hero back to back. Wants to pretend he’s in a music video for the acoustic. One of those sad montage types.
Inarizaki: what is even going on. You propose it. Kita just shrugs and is like “Ok” Yall listening to Hannah Montana. Twins ruin your singalong time with the debate of How could they not know Miley was Hannah. You dedicate If We Were a Movie to Aran bc dream boy. He sings along happily. Wouldn’t hesitate to hit Atsumu for trying to interrupt and you're like “This is a duet stfu.” Kita watched the show but probably couldn’t really recall many of the words but that's ok. You all do know Best of Both Worlds and even Suna sings along. Not with much energy, but whatever he still participates in. Twins and Suna all are embarrassed to say they know every word to He Could Be the One. Get Kita to threaten the twins and they’ll sing along to it. Another must sing song is Nobody’s Perfect. Grab Suna’s hand and make him sing and dance along, he does it lazily. Maybe a few bobs and sways. Him not screaming the lyrics is drowned out by the rest of yall. That's one of those songs that like you hear that intro you go running towards the dance floor because BANGER. Mid convo- you hear that intro yeah your soul leaves your body and is taken over by the spirit of miss Hannah. Twins try to act that out and do the soul leaving body meme because they share 1 brain cell. Atsumu is more aggressive with his singing along. Like damn calm tf down. When hes hype hes going so hard yall are like “dont hurt yourself lol” Once you start getting into them obscure songs Aran saves the day again by being the only one that knows them. At True Friend Atsumu asks if you think hes a true friend/ “(Y/N) i’m yer best friend right.” Damn yall hear something. Ignore him and keep singing while Osamu and Suna clown his ass. “Kita’s a true friend.” Kita just thanks you. Might return the compliment. “He doesn’t even know any of the songs” ok and???? Yall play another sadder song right after like “i’ll always remember you.” Atsumu lowkey starts tearing up and sniffling. Ha ha pussy. Sad hours when you then play wherever I go and yall all start getting sad. Kita not knowing the songs just looks at yall like ?????? Then he starts listening to yall sadly sing along and its like “damn” sad team hours then. Yall annoying and put your arms around each other and like start swaying because no brain cells are found. It ends up getting aggressive and u feel like your shoulder is gonna fall off so u stop.

hello my queen... returned to her castle I see? Could you please do a thing just like the Kuroo one except Kuroo is Bokuto's wingman? I'm so soft for them and you ohmygoodness
You’re adorable and I appreciate you so much. For legal reasons I created a fake cafe called The Gazelle. I’ve used it like twenty times if this is a real place I’m so sorry
It was a very rare occurrence for Bokuto to be awake before noon on a weekend. It was even rarer that he was sprinting across campus to get to Kuroo’s dorm at nine in the morning. Campus custodians gave him weird looks, girls walking to their professors office hours giggled at him, but he just kept running.
Kuroo lived on the eighth floor in the farthest dormitory building from Bokuto’s. He ran up the stairs, skipping two as he went, and once he finally got to Kuroo’s door, he didn’t even bother to knock, he just slammed his fist against the door in one harsh blow.
From inside, he heard Kuroo mutter a quick, “fucking hell,” to his roommate before the door swung open in his face. Kuroo didn’t look amused, and scanned Bokuto up and down before he snorted, covering up his mouth with his hand.
“I’m not gonna judge your lifestyle bro,” Kuroo snorted, “but literally, what the hell.”
“Listen, hear me out,” Bokuto began, still slightly out of breath. “The cute girl who works at The Gazelle has a shift right now.”
“What?” Kuroo stared at him dumbfounded. “How do you know that?”
“Me and, and a couple of my friends from statistics have been taking notes on each time she works. She always works Saturday mornings so-” Kuroo cut him off by laughing again, then stepped out into the hallway and motioned Bokuto to start walking. No matter the situation, no matter how ridiculous it sounded, Kuroo was always readily available for anything Bokuto had in mind.
“So you’ve been stalking this girl?”
“Bro, I’m not stalking her, I’m just admiring her. A-and that admiration has gotten to a kind of unhealthy level to me personally, as a person.”
“Wait, so have you actually ever even talked to this girl?” Kuroo asked, and was faced with Bokuto widening his eyes. “Dude, you’ve gawked at her every single time we’ve gone, and you haven’t even talked to her?”
“I ordered a hot cocoa from her that one time-” Bokuto sighed, “I sound like a simp.”
“Bro, you aren’t a simp. What you are is stupid. How the hell are you going to work together with your statistics friends to recreate some random girls' work schedule but you all have a D in the class?”
“Listen-” Bokuto laughed. “Sora says that she has dyscalculia, and that the rest of us probably have it too. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, Kuroo. Sorry I can’t be a perfect chem major like you.” He teased, socking Kuroo in the arm. Kuroo winced slightly, then punched him back.
“Yeah, you have your strengths for sure.”
“Okay, so I’m probably gonna actually talk to her today.”
“Wow, making big boy moves.” Kuroo laughed, “Where’s this coming from?”
“I can’t tell if it’s fake confidence or adrenaline!” Bokuto shrugged. “Both work!”
Once they entered the cafe, the familiar smell of coffee beans, warmth, and just a tinge of something else hit Bokuto and made him so much more nervous. Why should he be nervous? He was hot. He was sexy. He was 6’2 of big beefy muscle and fat ass, he shouldn’t be afraid of rejection!
But then he saw her. __ hair pulled back into two pigtail french braids as she politely took a stoners order at the counter. He finally got to see her eyes, they were __, pretty __ eyes and the cutest little smile and this cute little way her nose scrunched up when she did-
Kuroo was laughing at him. Kuroo was doubled over Bokuto’s shoulder, absolutely wheezing at him, and Bokuto no longer knew how to feel.
“Bro, not cool!”
“You’re just-” Kuroo started cackling, his signature loud witch cackle, and Bokuto felt his face flush red. The pretty barista made eye contact with him at the sound of Kuroo’s laugh, cocked an eyebrow, then went back to her order. The butterflies promptly returned to his stomach.
“The way you looked at her bro-” Kuroo hiss whispered. “Priceless.”
“Get your shit together dude, you gotta be my wingman!”
“How the hell am I supposed to do that?” Kuroo managed to choke out between laughs. “This is too much.”
“You’re horrible! I can’t be my own wingman! How am I supposed to hype myself up without looking like a complete jackass-”
Before Bokuto could finish, he realized that they were next up to order. Pretty __ Eyes looked at him and cocked her head, a shy, playful smile crossing her cheeks.
“Hi there! How can I help you today?” She chirped. Awh, even her customer service voice was adorable, he thought to himself. He sighed, trying to suppress a goofy smile on his face. Somehow, Kuroo got it together enough to stammer out, “Hey, hi, yeah, can I get uhhhh… iced latte with oat milk and vanilla flavoring please?” like a dork would.
Bokuto was so caught up thinking about how the prettiest girl in the world was somehow working at a cafe and not walking the runway, and why Kuroo would order something with oat milk out of all things, to even realize that he had to order next. Before he could snap out of his daze, he heard Kuroo laugh.
“Sorry about my friend. When he was born, all his brain cells were converted into sexy instead.”
The barista covered her mouth with her hand to suppress a laugh, and Bokuto felt a hot blush run up his neck. He would’ve punched Kuroo in the arm, but figured he had to keep his cool.
“I-” The barista giggled, not even trying to hold back her laugh. “I mean, yeah, good for him?”
“Oh yeah.” Kuroo leaned his arm up on the counter. There was nobody else behind them, and Kuroo knew what he was doing. “I mean look at the guy. Seventy four inches of pure, raw sex. Do you like volleyball?”
At this point, Pretty __ Eyes was borderline hysterics. Bokuto was starting to think Kuroo was less of a wingman and more of his own, personal jester.
“Yeah, I played in high school.” She responded. Cute, and played volleyball? Bokuto just felt the blush just hotter.
“Yeah, this guy right here, Owlboy Sexyman, he was the fourth best ace in the country, don’t you know. Fukurodani’s captain.”
“Oh wow, you guys went to Fukurodani?”
“Nah, just him. I’m not even a fragment of how cool Mr. Sexyman here is.” Kuroo pointed at him with his thumb, then shook his head. “And he has a fat ass.”
She laughed, and shook her head.
“And does Owlboy Sexyman want anything today?”
At this point, Bokuto couldn’t hide his blush. He knew if he opened his mouth to start talking, he would end up sounding like a dog toy.
So he just stood there.
Kuroo sighed, and kicked him in the shin, which caused him to jump.
“Seems like he’s just too damn sexy today! No brain cells in sight. He’ll take a large iced hot chocolate with extra whip.”
“Sounds great.” She giggled. “Since you guys literally just made my whole shift, I’m gonna give you twenty percent off today.”
“Thank you, you’re a doll.”
When they stepped aside to pay for their drinks, Bokuto burst out laughing. Kuroo looked down at him, and choked back another cackle.
“Did you like what I did there?”
“You-” Bokuto snorted, “Are so fucking stupid.”
“Ah, it’s my specialty.”
“That definitely did not work at all. If anything, she probably likes you from that whole show you put on.”
“Nah, she didn’t look interested in me. Worst case scenario, at least we made a pretty girl laugh at your expense!”
“Yeah, I guess.” Bokuto shrugged.
“Iced latte for Kuroo!” Pretty __ Eyes called out, then handed the drink gingerly over to him. He took a dramatic sip, then sighed.
“Hits the spot.”
“How the heck do they even… milk an oat.” Bokuto muttered, and Kuroo shrugged.
“I dunno. How do they milk almonds?”
“Do almonds have boobs?” Bokuto asked, a little bit too loud.
“Iced hot chocolate for Owlboy Sexyman!”
The moment she announced this, Bokuto wheezed, and Kuroo spit his coffee out in the most violent, dramatic, and cartoonish way possible. Bokuto didn’t know whether or not to keep laughing, or start crying. Kuroo had iced coffee dribbling down his neck like a toddler, but even he himself couldn’t stop laughing.
Bokuto looked up to see Pretty __ Eyes hunched over the serving station convulsing as well. Bokuto walked over to her, and bowed his head in shame, all while laughing.
“I am so-”
“Who the hell are you two!” She stammered between giggles. Bokuto noticed her eyes were brighter when she laughed. He had managed to stop laughing but the smile on his face only grew. She was beautiful and he had no idea how to handle it.
“I am so, so sorry.”
“Don’t worry.” She shook her head. “Your friend has to clean that up, because I’m definitely not going to.”
“He will, he will. “Bokuto looked back over at Kuroo, who was still laughing to himself hysterically, his face buried in his hands. “I promise we’re not on drugs.”
“Hey, it’s college. No judgement.” She smiled, Her fingertips brushed his as she handed him his drink. He noticed that she had scribbled her number on the side of the cup, and the dying blush on his face returned. His mouth gaped a little bit, then he looked back up at her.
“My name is not actually Owlboy Sexyman.”
“I would hope not.” She smiled. “I’m __, by the way.”
“I’m Bokuto.”
“Bokuto.” She repeated, then smiled. “We should hang out sometime. I don’t know many other people around here who play volleyball.”
“Oh, wow, I-” Bokuto nodded and smiled, looking a little bit dumb as he did. “That’s awesome! That’s great! That’s great.”
“See you around then?” She cocked her head. Bokuto nodded a little bit too aggressively.
“I’ll see you around!”
__ shot him one last smile before she turned around and walked back to the order counter. Bokuto sighed a deep sigh, and sat back down next to Kuroo, whose shirt was covered in spit and coffee.
“Dude, you did it.”
Kuroo looked up at him from his hands, and smiled.
“Shit, I would hope so, because this oat milk is fucking disgusting.”

Tomorrow Holds Such Better Days (mgk!Tommy Lee x Reader)
Requested: Anon
“I have 2 requests but they are completely up to your interpretation anyways, so for one like tommy taking care of his drunk girlfriend or friend or whatever you want and then another request would be tommy (lol love my tommy) where like the reader and tommy are friends and they’re at a bar and readers ex is there and shit goes down. Hopefully those make sense, do what you want!”
Note: Here’s a cute little imagine to start your week off with! I have one month until the semester starts, and I’m trying really hard to bang out these requests before they take even longer to post (if you can even believe it). As always, thank y’all so much for reading/requesting, and please lmk what you think!

You lean your head against the cool tiles of the bathroom wall, head spinning as you kneel in front of the toilet. The lights are far too bright, and every cell in your body is begging for you to release any trace of alcohol that’s still poisoning you. You try your best to heave into the toilet bowl, but it doesn’t seem like you have much left to give.
So much for a good night out.
Eyes heavy with exhaustion, you suddenly find that the shaggy bath mat looks a lot cozier than you remember. More than anything you want to curl up on it and drift into a drunken sleep, uncaring of how many dirty boots and other wasted idiots may have trampled upon it in the past. Just as you feel yourself giving into the urge to tip right over, a loud knock on the bathroom door jolts you back into some semblance of reality.
“Y/N?” a muffled voice from the other side of the door calls out to you, but the faint thump of background music makes it hard to distinguish who it belongs to.
“Fuck off,” you groan instinctively. The last thing you want right now is visitors.
The person on the other side knocks again, either ignoring your request, or simply deciding they don’t care.
“Open up, Y/N,” they try again, “It’s me– Tommy!”
Tommy?
The name ricochets through your mind, moving as slow as ripples on still water. Your boyfriend was supposed to be playing a gig halfway across town, not banging on the bathroom door of a dingy, West Hollywood house party. You groan internally, knowing that your best friend must have called him when she heard you throwing up. Sitting in radio silence, you pray up at the popcorn ceiling that he’ll give up and go away. Sure, you had peeled Tommy off the floor of countless bars and bathrooms–but you couldn’t let him see you like this. You were always the one in control, and your pride isn’t willing to cut you any slack.
Despite your efforts to will him away, Tommy shoves the door open, making you scold your past self for not locking it earlier. You cringe at the sounds of laughter and music temporarily invading the space, and Tommy closes the door behind him.
“There’s my stubborn girl,” he coos, kneeling down to meet your gaze. Suddenly, your alcohol induced agitation melts away at the sound of Tommy’s voice. A dreamy sigh escapes from your lips, and you think that he looks just as gorgeous as the night you met him. Every bit of natural instinct left in you is screaming for him to go away, but you are unable to ignore the pitter patter of your heart.
“You seeing anyone?”
The question startles you out of your thoughts. Turning around, you find a very tall boy with a shy smile and nervous fingertips standing before you. You didn’t recognize him, and yet you can’t help but wonder how you could have possibly missed him. With his long wavy hair and ripped jeans, you’re almost positive he would’ve stood out amongst the crowd– but then again, you were too caught up in your own mess to have noticed anyone else.
“Sorry?” you ask, realizing you got so preoccupied by ogling at him that you hadn’t really heard his question.
“I said,” he answers, taking a more confident step forward, “are you seeing anyone? I saw you inside the party earlier and you looked– well, you looked kinda lonely.”
Taken slightly aback by the boy’s forwardness, you take a sip of the drink in your hand in a desperate attempt to buy more time. Who does this guy think he is anyway? You have half a mind to tell him off, but something in those blue eyes makes you swallow your aggression. It’s not like he knew you and your last boyfriend just ended things a few nights ago. You’d come out to your best friend’s party to get your mind off of things, and somehow ended up alone on the front porch, lost in thought.
Well– at least you aren’t alone anymore.
“No,” you quip, peering at the boy over the top of your red solo cup.
“No, as in you aren’t seeing anyone, or no, you’re not lonely?” he continues to wander towards your place on by porch’s railing, slowly but surely closing the gap between the two of you.
To yours and his surprise, you don’t back away. Instead, you rest against the railing, making yourself more comfortable in an effort to ignore your pounding heart. Any other guy trying to smooth talk you would have you turning on your heel and heading the other direction, but there’s something about his sincerity that locks you in place.
“No, I’m not seeing anyone.”
The boy flashes you a kilowatt smile and leans on the railing next to you, propping his weight on his elbows so that he can look you in the eyes. The sound of your heartbeat is deafening.
“Then why don’t you come see me, gorgeous?” he punctuates his question with a wink, and you can’t hide the smile that ghosts your lips. God, it’s been so long since you’ve smiled.
“In your dreams, kid,” you laugh. Even though the guy in front of you is probably around your age, you’re more accustomed to older guys trying to get your attention.
The boy holds a hand to his chest dramatically, giving you his best puppy dog eyes. “Ouch! That really wounded me, you know.”
“Then bleed,” you pur, leaning in close enough to whisper in his ear. His mouth hangs open in disbelief, clearly feeling as though he had met his match.
You set your empty solo cup on the railing, and turn to leave with a smirk of satisfaction on your lips. Even if he hadn’t necessarily succeeded in picking you up, you find yourself grateful for the distraction. Just as you are about to open the front door and head inside, the boy calls out to you once again.
“Wait! I wasn’t done talking to you,” even after being paralysed by your words, he still has a goofy smile plastered across his face. You find yourself admiring his resilience.
“Call me when you’re older,” you grin. Your hand is wrapped around the doorknob, but you still stand there, unmoving.
“How about I call you tomorrow?” The boy approaches you tentatively, his face softening as his blue eyes search yours for any indication that he’s overstepping any boundaries. “Come on, what have you got to lose?”
Nothing, you think as your mouth runs dry of clever things to say.
“So, tomorrow then?” he asks, clearly not buying into the idea that you were completely done with him.
You bite your lip, wondering if the stranger in front of you is in any way worth taking a chance on. Even if you don’t know his name you can’t deny that he managed to do the impossible– he made you smile when you thought you never would again.
“Tomorrow, it is.”
That had been about six months ago. Six months of movie nights, spontaneous road trips, and cheering Tommy on from the front row of his gigs. As much as you hate to admit it sometimes– you wouldn’t change a thing.
“Who are you calling stubborn?” you giggle, recalling the way Tommy was banging on the bathroom door just moments before.
Without answering, he grabs you by the arms and helps hoist you to your feet. To your chagrin, the room is spinning and you cling to Tommy in the hopes that you won’t tumble over completely.
“Easy there, gorgeous,” he smiles, allowing you to lean against his lanky figure, “I’ve got you.”
As Tommy practically carries you out of the party, another streak of guilt and embarrassment washes through you. You are an adult for chrissakes, no one should be taking care of you but yourself.
“‘M sorry,” you mumble as Tommy helps get you situated in the car. Even though your boyfriend seems more than happy to help, you can’t help your drunk brain’s natural instinct to become melancholy and self conscious.
“What for?” he asks, buckling your seatbelt for you.
You can feel your eyes sting as Tommy climbs into the driver’s seat and cranks the ignition, making the car come to life with a gentle hum.
“I shouldn’t have drank so much– I hate you seeing me like this.”
Tommy rests a hand on your leg as he drives, helping to ground you in the moment just a little bit more. You grasp at it like a lifeline, doing everything you can to avoid the bright lights of the city as the two of you journey home.
“Trust me, baby,” he scoffs, “I have done and seen so much worse. You don’t even wanna know. Besides, you take care of me all the time– let me take care of you, okay?”
You smile for the first time since Tommy picked you up off the bathroom floor and find the courage to glance over. His eyes are trained on the road, but a smile remains firmly fixed on his face– unwavering and only for you. While you’re still dizzy from the alcohol swimming through your bloodstream, the knot in your stomach seems to have finally untangled.
“Maybe I, uh, can make it– make it up to you tomorrow,” you stammer, playing with his fingers absentmindedly. “We could do something fun.”
“If you make it out of bed tomorrow, then you’ve got yourself a deal,” Tommy laughs, shooting you a familiar wink that makes your heart melt.
“So, tomorrow then?” you ask, voice barely a whisper as your head rests comfortably against the car window. With the hum of the engine and the warmth of Tommy’s hand in yours, you find your eyes pulling closed with fatigue.
Just as you are about to drift off to sleep, you hear a soft voice beside you say, “Tomorrow, it is.”

Twisted Wonderland Ocs!
Genie: *Appears on stage* EEEYYY here we are with our new twisted wonderland yandere OCS
Beloveds: *Forced clapping* get help (no Genie this is not a marvel reference!!) seriously just go get help.
Genie: Before we start please note that all characters here, other than the two bachelors are not blood-related by any means. They do however share a surname. It's one that they came up with themselves. As well as sharing the characteristic of hyena ears. Without further, a dew lets meet our lovely bachelors and bachelorette!
Name: Luna Annamaria Carnivora Vivica Jessica Bucchi
Nicknames: Lun (everyone), Viv (Banzi) big sis (everyone), Jessie (Me) my dear (Leona).
Dorm: Savanclaw
Year: 3rd year
Twisted from: Shenzi from Lion King
Age: 20
DOB: November 18
Physical Appearance (I do not have a picture for them yet, so if anyone is up to draw them that would be great!)
Luna has dark brown skin, usually littered with cuts and bruises. It's not rare to see her with a multitude of bandages and gazes covering up recent wounds. Large downturned grey/blue eyes with long lashes. She has a mole next to her left eye. Her raven-colored hair is straight and long, reaching and curling at past her lower back. Her bangs normally reach to slightly above her eyebrows. Her, built is rather lanky due to not receiving enough food on a daily bases. Her fingers are long with nails being covered as sharp claws able to cut skin. There is a slight limp in her right leg.
Story
Luna was born into a middle-class family, with a father working as an architect and a housewife mother. Her childhood was typically a happy and normal one. Around the time she was thirteen her father was fired for an unknown reason, though it's highly suspected that he was selling information to another company. This left the family with a lot of debuts and no means of paying them. Seeing no other solution, Luna's mother sent her off to live with her aunt. Despite being a kind and even motherly figure to the young girl, Luna and her aunt never really saw eye to eye. Her aunt pushed her to seek a higher form of education, pushing her to her limits to get a multitude of different scholarships. By fourteen, she had an athletic scholarship to the top private academy of the pride lands (or where ever it is the savanclaw people come form). However as time went on, the young girl began to note a shift in her aunt's mood. The once lively women became reserved and almost shut off from the world around her. She seemed to be in her own universe, this lead to Luna having to take up almost all chores around the house. A few months later Luna overheard her aunt on the phone with her parents. Her aunt begged them to and collect luna, in which they declined, saying that they could not take care of another person. This broke Luna's heart and it's around this time that she began to neglect her studies and sneak out at nights. On one of her nightly escapes, she encountered two boys about the same age as her, named Brazium and Elysium They were planning on sneaking into a club to do some pickpocketing. Intrigued the young girl hatched a plan to get them in. They later split their earings amongst themselves. This became a routine for the trio, hitting different bars and sometimes even school events at Luna's school. It was one of these nights that Luna came home to find polices at her aunt's house. The policemen told her that her aunt had overdosed on anti-depression and was found dead mere hours ago. Being/feeling abandoned for the second time, Luna took matters into her own hands. She was able to use whatever money her aunt had left to buy a small house in "the outlands" deciding she needed a pack to survive she invited Brazium and Elysium to come live with her, they both obliged. For the next three years, the trio lived in the outlands, having become a sort of ruling family amongst the other residents.
Personality
Luna is rather bossy and snarky, usually following a "agree with me or suffer" kind of manner. She is extremely sarcastic and at times dramatic, facing any problem or opponent with an eye roll and comment. She is rather independent and never likes being told what to do. All this being said she is extremely possessive of anything she has, fearing that it will be taken from her.
HC
She can play the piano as an angel
got into night raven due to being friends with Leona kingscholar
Was given a scholarship to med school, which she turned down for Night Raven.
Could kill you with her glare
Has enough sarcasm to go toe to toe with Leona
Prefers to negotiate before starting a fight.
Leona is her closest friend and she considers her a brother like the rest of her "siblings"
Is on bad terms with Lionel (see @edda-blattfe)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Brazium Corbin Atilla Bucchi
Nicknames: *Insert degrading nickname here* (Leona and Luna), chalk eyes (Ruggie) brain cell number 2 (Ruggie and Elysium ) the family screw up (everyone) Banz (Me)
Dorm: Savanclaw
Year: 2nd year
Twisted from: Banzai from Lion King
Age: 19

Brazium has caramel-colored skin with a spinal cord tattoo over his actual spinal cord (Genie what the hell do you come up with?). His hair is a dark shadow like grey color, that is never kept properly and is always sticking in every direction. He usually wears heavy eye showdown around his teel eyes. His tongue and has a piercing which he gave himself using his father's tools when he was about thirteen.
Story
Brazium and his younger twin Elysium were born into a rather poor family. Their dad owned a tattoo and piercing shop. Their mother was a nurse before she hopped out of the family. From a young age, the brothers learned to operate their father's tools and run the shop, they also learned how to steal and fight as another means of survival. Their dad did try raising them right and making sure they had a good education. by fourteen the boys had taken up pickpocketing in bars and a private school, thanks to their new friend luna. One night the boys were woken in the middle of the night to the police asking them to come over to the station. There they were shown a corps and asked if they recognized it. They did, seeing as how the corpse was their father's. The policeman told them that he had been hit by a car and that they were not able to find the driver. The boys later learned that it had been an aristocrat and that she'd been able to get away with it due to her hight nobility. After hearing the news Luna approached the two boys and asked if they wanted to move in with her. They agreed and for three years they lived as a family. Later on thanks to Elysium another member would be added to them.
Personality
Brazium is short-tempered, aggressive and gluttonous. He mostly thinks with his fists and is quick to start fights. He will downright insult anyone going so far as to threaten them over measly things, such as pitty arguments. He is constantly complaining about one thing or another and has yet to answer the question "how are you" with a pleasant response. With all this said he does have a loving and joking sideshow only yo his family. When Ruggi was younger Brazium would always take him outside and find a means of entertaining him. He has the utmost respect for Shanzi and belives her to be the brains of the family.
HC
He's great at boxing and martial arts, going toe to toe with Leona
He is a genius when it comes to languages

got into night raven due to being friends with Leona kingscholar
does surprisingly well in potion making and has gained a bit of Divus’s respect
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Elysium (El) Zayne Hani Bucchi
Nicknames: El (Everyone) giggles (Ruggie) brian cell number one (Leona and Luna)
Dorm: Savanclaw
Year: 2nd year
Twisted from: Ed from Lion King
Age: 19
DOB: April 4th
Physical Appearance (no picture)
El is typically described as having gentle features in contrast to his brother's rough appearance. His hair is practically as long as his sister's. Despite keeping his grey hair in a high ponytail there are still thin strands around his face. His skin is also a caramel-like color much like his brothers. He has two wing tattoos on both his shoulders along with a multitude of ear piercings. His eyes are lean and a lighter teal shade than his brothers.
Story
Elysium and his older twin Brazium were born into a rather poor family. One day while Elysium was walking around the outlands he spotted a young boy covered in blood. Murders were something normal in the area. El didn't think too much of it and tried to walk away, only to have the small boy follow him. He soon gave up and picked the kid and went home. Brazium and Luna weren't too happy with this but soon came to love the baby as one of their won. El took care of Ruggie the most since Shenzi usually had to work part-time jobs and Braziumwas in charge of meal prep and house chores. All was well until freaking Brazium lost Ruggie! (Genie: Banz how the hell does one lose a seven-year-old??!! Brazium: *shrugs and goes back to drinking his slushie*) It all turned out well in the end where they sorta ended up adopting Leona as well.
HC
El has a disability which prevents him from properly talking
This, however, doesn't stop him from having a keen eye and being able to solve certain problems quickly
He and Brazium tend to fight a lot, it's usually up to Luna and Ruggi to split them up. While Leona cheers them on from the couch or wherever.
I Sorta want to go sci-fi on him and give him a voice box or something IDK
Is secretly Ruggie's favorite sibling
Despite not being the most violent out of the Bucchi family he gets rather aggressive around the lions, blaming them for his father's death and Leona's suffering
Refuses to call Leona a Kingschola and insists that he is a Bucchi
Has received nothing but A in Ashton’s class
His best friend in Night Raven is Kalim
Genie: Well that wraps but our show for tonight ladies and gentlemen! Their yandere personalities will be released at a later date, after the last "member" of the family is finished! Also a huge thanks to @edda-blattfe for helping me with all of this, love you lots darling!

You know?
This was requested by an anonymous person, so whoever you are, anon, I hope you enjoy this!
Pairing: Klaus x reader (Oneshot)
“I’m calling Y/N.”
Klaus’ eyes widen with panic. “No! No, you don’t need to do that—” He lunges for the phone Diego pulls out of his pocket. “Diego! Please!”
“Dude, you’re so dead,” Allison snorts. She lifts her wine glass up to Diego in cheers when he successfully dials your number and puts the phone up to his ear, waiting for you to pick up.
Klaus whines dramatically and throws himself down onto the couch. “Diego, how could you betray me like this? I thought we were friends. No.” He sits up. “I thought we were brothers.”
Diego shows Klaus the middle finger. “He—” Diego starts, but cuts off abruptly. He takes the phone away from his ear. “She hung up.”
“Well, it’s not like it’s a mystery why you’re calling,” Allison mumbles under her breath. You’ve gotten used to it by now; Klaus’s substance abuse, no matter how much you hate it. If Diego is ever calling you when you know he’s been hanging out with Klaus, you just know by now that he’s either too drunk or too high to function.
“Well, let’s drink to my funeral, then,” Klaus says, motioning for Allison to hand him another bottle of wine. She hands it to him, muttering something about him digging his own grave, but Klaus doesn’t mind that. He’s not even that buzzed right now; Y/N has seen him so much worse.
So, so much worse.
“You know, she may have seen you at your worst, but you’re just adding straws onto the camel,” Ben says, but he’s faint. Far away. Fading in and out of view; completely see-through in some parts. None of the other ghosts have been with Klaus for the past three hours; Ben always is the last to go by a long shot. Honestly, Klaus wouldn’t mind just having Ben around all the time if he wasn’t so damn annoying. Ben’s like the damn cricket and Klaus is Pinocchio. “One of them is bound to break the camel’s back.”
Klaus takes a deliberate sip of the drink, smirking slightly when a little more color leeches out of Ben, he turns a little more not-there. He’ll deal with Ben’s reasoning a day when he’s less drunk. A day when he’s less tired. A day when the world makes even a little as much sense as Ben does, and a fraction of how much sense everyone else seems to think it does. Everything is just so weird, when you think about it, and Klaus giggles and hiccups.
“Why are they called hiccups?” he asks out loud. Ben rolls his eyes at the same time as Allison and Diego, though they couldn’t possibly have choreographed that; Ben’s dead! They can’t see him, either.
Diego’s phone buzzes. “Y/N says she’s five minutes away. She says not to let you have anything else.”
Klaus whines when he grabs the wine out of his hands. “Diego! Next time you need your Patch to come pick you up I might not even call her.”
“Oh, you would,” Diego snorts. “Not that I’d ever let myself get as wasted as you, but—”
“I would love to see Diego’s ass reamed by that detective,” Allison snorts. “She’s the only one that can keep you in line, yeah?”
“Allison?” Luther pokes his head into the living room. “You ready to go?”
“Oh, where are we going?” Klaus asks, jumping up and clapping his hands together.
“Luther and I,” Allison says, standing up, “are taking Five to see an R-rated film, because the bouncers won’t let him in without supervision. You are staying here to wait for your girlfriend.”
“Oh, I’d much rather watch the movie,” Klaus grumbles. “Y/N’s going to be in one of her moods. I know it already.”
“Yeah, maybe because you’re already drunk as hell and it is five o’clock on a Monday night,” Five says dryly, popping his head around the corner. “Why does Y/N put up with him, again?”
“Because I’m a joy to be around!”
“Because she’s dumb,” Ben mutters.
“Because she’s dumb,” Allison echoes. “Bye, Klaus! See you, Diego!”
Diego waves her away and the three siblings leave the house, looking like two parents escorting their child out. Five’s form has disconcerted everyone except Vanya, to be honest, especially with the copious amounts of alcohol the boy—man—time traveler?—Klaus honestly has no idea—ingests. He can nearly drink Klaus under the table.
When they open up the door, you’re standing there with your hand raised, about to knock.
“Have fun,” Five mutters as you pass him, and you make a face at him but can’t be bothered to reply. You’re still in your hospital scrubs, tired from a long day at work, and already cranky with your boyfriend despite the fact that you haven’t seen him all day.
“Y/N!” Klaus exclaims happily when he sees you, as if he isn’t the bane of your existence most days. “You should have said you were coming!”
“I did,” you reply shortly. “Come on.”
He has enough sense to follow you wordlessly out of the house and get into your car.
For two minutes he sits next to you, drumming his fingers on the dashboard, as you drive aggressively (more aggressively than usual, anyways) in complete silence. It’s the impending storm that’s sobering him. It’s the 100% effective way to sober anyone up—you may be shorter than Klaus, but goddamn are you scarier than the rest of the Umbrella Academy combined. Except maybe Five; his appearance may not be scary at all, but his penchant for holding sharp objects to peoples’ throats can be intimidating.
“You know—” he starts, swinging his head towards you because you always look so pretty in the city lights, but you cut him off.
“We agreed,” you say tightly. You put both hands on the steering wheel at 3 and 10, knuckles white with tension. “We agreed, Klaus. Are you just lying to me now?”
“No!” Klaus protests. Everything is a little hazy now—Ben’s barely a shadow in the backseat—but he knows exactly how you feel about lies. Hell, he doesn’t like lies either. Lies are bad. Very, very bad. “I really wasn’t gonna drink today, but then I saw Allison and Diego drinking and I decided to join them, and then next thing I knew I drank an entire bottle.” He puts his hands out like What can you do?
“Klaus, there will always be people doing drugs and drinking wherever you go. Just because you see them doing it doesn’t mean it’s an invitation for you to do it as well.”
“I didn’t even drink that much,” he mutters.
“I’m sure you drank a lot,” you reply. “It just doesn’t affect you as much because of how great your tolerance is. Do you know exactly how damaging it is to your health to be high all the time? Putting aside the obvious risks such as kidnapping, robbing, sexual assault or rape, you’re killing your brain cells. Not to mention—”
“I didn’t have any to begin with!” Klaus jokes and you take a turn so sharp he almost falls out of his seat.
“If you would just try to control your powers—” you start but Klaus cuts you off with a bark of a laugh.
“If I get sober enough to control my powers, the ghosts would be yelling too loudly for me to think.”
“And if you get sober enough to control your powers, you can figure out how to stop them from yelling.” You pull into the driveway of your house. “I can’t pretend to understand what it’s like, honestly. But it kills me when I don’t see you trying.”
“I know,” Klaus whispers. “I know. I’m sorry, you know?”
“Yeah, I know,” you grunt, pulling your bag out of the backseat before getting out of the car. “You’re always sorry.”
“I love you?” he tries, watching your face, and, like always, it softens. The stress lines on your forehead become less prominent and the crow’s feet around your eyes come out as you try to hide your smile.
“Yeah, I know,” you grin. “I love you too. It just kills me to see you like this, you know?”
“I’m trying,” Klaus says quietly. “I’m gonna get clean. I’m gonna.”
“I know. I know it’s hard.” You help him out of the car and support him into the house until you get to the living room, where Klaus flops dramatically onto the couch again. “Do you want water? A blanket? Food?”
“Just you,” Klaus mumbles into the pillow he’d stuffed over his face. “Tired.”
You huff out a laugh. “Tell me about it.”
“Did the woman come back today?”
“Yeah. Her name’s Mrs. McKinnon, and today she had a huge fight with her husband in the middle of the parking lot about vaccinations. It was a huge scene, but it scared a few people away so I got a thirty-minute lunch break for the first time in two weeks.” You continue to talk, telling Klaus about your day as you comb your fingers through his hair and he closes his eyes. He’s not breathing deeply enough to be sleeping, so you know he’s listening intently to every word you’re saying.
Klaus may have a lot of faults, but he’s very attentive. It’s one of the things that made you fall for him, honestly. And, despite all his faults, you can’t help but see the small strengths he has, like his listening and good heart.
He’s going to be so good when he gets sober. He just needs to work on controlling his powers. You want to help him but sometimes you feel out of your depth, so it’s good when his siblings try to help too.
You’re going to succeed.
It’s just going to take some time.
You fall asleep like that, with Klaus’s head in your lap and your neck bent at an awkward angle, and it’s going to hurt when it wakes up. When Klaus wakes up he’s going to have an awful hangover, but Ben will be there to watch him and stop him from making any bad decisions while you’re working.
It’s a group effort, especially when the intervention is for someone as high energy as Klaus, but honestly, you wouldn’t have him any other way.

The Fake Bodyguard | Jeon Jungkook
part 2
pairing: commoner!jungkook x princess!reader
genre: fluff au
word count: 4k (oops i got a little carried away)
warnings: swearing, mentions of suicide
a/n: reposting this since tumblr is an ass :( part 1 can be found from my masterlist
finally some news of the real park jimin spread around
“someone claiming to be park jimin was creating chaos at the main entrance gates. what a dumb ass he’s already here! besides they were wearing commoners clothes so probably some local madman” -a kind maid
“y-yeah haha. what an idiot” -sweating jungkook beside you
“please make sure not to hurt him. if he’s still there, have someone escort him somewhere safe within the village. thank you”
to say jungkook was surprised by your kindness was an understatement
he was expecting you to be a selfish brat living without worries but turns out you were an actual sweetheart??
he had been your bodyguard for two days and his whole opinion about you and your family had changed drastically
well- he still wasn’t so sure about your parents though
he felt like they were a bit,,,, secretive
they didn’t tell you much about the village and it’s people, leaving out major details like the spreading of the nasty virus
it was big news in the village so it was hard for him to digest that you had absolutely no idea what was going on
whenever you tried to ask your parents about the villagers they’d give you short replies, telling you not to worry about them since they were handling it
you never dared to pry, since you knew your parents were busy and stressed out, especially during a time like this
the maid smiled and scurried off into the distance, leaving you alone with your bodyguard
“do you ever wonder?”
“about what, kookie? you have to be a bit more specific”
“about the villagers? about what goes down there?”
you smiled at the boy, thinking he must actually be one of the villagers since he’s so curious about your thoughts
“all the time. believe me, wish i knew all the scoop”
jungkooks heart tingled
“yeah i’ve heard some crazy stories from there”
you pretended to be surprised
“you’ve been to the village!!”
at this point jungkook realized he’s supposed to be from another kingdom
“ehh yeah a couple of times”
“tell me everything! please”
your eyes went big and a wide grin spread on your face
the glint in your eyes made jungkook believe you were genuinely interested
and because he loved his town and the people in it, he wouldn’t skip a chance to talk about them
“well... i heard there’s a nasty virus spreading around”
the excited grin turned upside down upon hearing his words and jungkook scratched the back of his neck in regret of choosing this as the first thing to tell you about his home town
“...there is? :(”
poor boys heart couldn’t take your puppy eyes any longer
“yeah, but it’s no big deal!!! anyways there’s this one really good soup restaurant! they serve the best soup”
“really? what kind of soup?”
“all kinds of soup! they’re all great i’m a regu- i mean i went there once and... ate like everything on the menu... yeah... omg you have to go there some day-”
you didn't dare stop jungkook from talking about the village so passionately
you listened to every word he told you with a fond smile on his face and made sure to ask questions about his favorite things
what a cute lil baddie
it made you wonder what he really came here for
was he here to assassinate you?
no, he would have already done that
was he here to assassinate your parents?
no, he would have already done that too
was he a thief? did he want money for himself?
you doubted that
he didn't seem like the selfish type
to you he was someone who reminded you of yourself
he was here, maybe he was adventurous and curious too
but no, that couldn't be all
there must have been another reason he was here
and it must have been important to him, for him to risk everything
i mean if he ever got caught for breaking in and pretending to be your body guard?
you didn't even want to think what your parents would do to him
the whole idea made you shiver
jungkook seemed to have a pure heart
for some odd reason you were sure of that
...
"hey kookie, did you want to come here?"
jungkook furrowed his eyebrows and stopped chewing on his chicken wing to look at you
"no? does it look like i want to be here??? smh"
he continued chewing loudly, rolling his eyes at you
"well no i can see you're dead inside but like??? how did you get picked?"
"i guess i'm just that good. or then it's my handsome face. yeah. definitely my face" -jungkook mumbling with chicken in his mouth
"what more could i ask from a body guard" -you rolling your eyes
"hey btw am i getting paid for this or what?"
you thought for a second in reality you had no idea, your parents handled everything like they always did, even if you tried to inquire they always insisted they were taking care of things and you didn't need to worry
however, this could have been a way for you to figure out what he was after
he just asked if he was getting paid, maybe he's just poor and wanted a job?
time to find out
"wdym??? this is your payment :)"
you gestured towards all the food laying in front of him
he stopped chewing again
he even dropped the chicken wing on his plate dramatically, jaw hanging open as he examined the food in horror
"this is my payment?"
"yeah. also you have your own room and the best company you could ask for! isn't that enough? isn't that what we agreed on?" you smile at him innocently
"...i must have amnesia... i'm sorry but what the fuck"
you slapped his shoulder playfully
"language, sir park jimin! and of course i'm kidding you dumb ass. you'll get paid accordingly once this is over... only if it doesn't last forever..."
jungkooks eyes widened even more
"you're too easy to mess with. i doubt you'll be here for long lmao"
"you almost gave me a damn heart attack woman"
you smiled to yourself, knowing there was deeper meaning to your last sentence he wasn't aware of
you picked up your fork and continued eating, expecting jungkook to do the same
however when he didn't, you gave him a questioning look
"what's wrong kookie?"
"just curious... (y/n), do you feel safe? with me? because you know,,, i'm your body guard and all"
"that depends. safe from what? with you i'm definitely not safe from loosing brain cells, i mean you're one hell of a dumb bi-"
"no- i mean do you feel threatened? are you afraid?"
the seriousness caught you off guard a bit and you had to swallow
"no, kookie. i feel safe. i trust you"
jungkook was no trained body guard so he actually felt a little bad for you
he did know how to defend himself well since he had learned a thing or two living in the village
he was confident in his skills- confident enough to knock off park jimin and take his place and sneak into the castle
but he was uncertain
he wasn't sure he could protect the both of you, but at that moment he promised himself he would protect you no matter what
he owed you that much, for stopping your body guard when you were in danger
and if you trusted him with your life, how could he let you down?
after all he could actually get away with this whole park jimin thing if he just did his job and collected the payment then he could get back to the village and help the poor families with their health care debts
he would just need to send them a message
he needed a way to let them know he was going to get money
but how was he supposed to do that when he needed to be around you 24/7 and you weren't allowed to leave the castle?
he could think of a plan later
right now, he just smiled at you in response to let you know he appreciated your honesty
that night jungkook laid awake in his bed, staring at the ceiling
he had escorted you to your room about an hour ago when you had voiced you were tired and wanted to go to bed
he kept thinking about how he was to send the villagers a message
they didn’t have any idea what he had gotten himself into, but jungkook doubted they thought he was dead
he had ran away for days before, the villagers and his family had grown pretty accustomed to it
jungkook loved going on adventures, exploring the outside world and visiting different places
he came to think of you, someone who was locked up in a castle for all their life
you never had such a chance to leave and explore
even though jungkook had spent a couple of days with you, he saw how much you yearned to go out there
he could see it in the way you stared out your window whenever anyone exited the castle, whether it was the guards or visitors
he felt so bad for you, he had no idea you could actually be so sad when all this time he had thought you were living your life to the fullest, getting everything you ever wanted in a silver platter
maybe he could sneak you out of the castle? with him?
it would be a win win situation
he would get to see the villagers and you could get a taste of the outside world
how would he bring it up to you? what if you said no?
when would it even happen? during the night? wasn’t that the safest?
his train of thought was interrupted when he heard a knock on his door
he adamantly got up and opened the door to find you standing there, shuffling on your feet, dressed in your night gown
“can i come in? just for a while?”
jungkook opened the door for you to come in
you took a seat at the edge of his bed, sitting down like a proper princess with your hands on your lap
“why are you still awake?” jungkook inquired
you bit your lip and brushed some hair behind your ear
“couldn’t fall asleep. sorry if i’m bothering you”
“it’s fine. i wasn’t getting any sleep either”
“kookie can i be honest?”
jungkook carefully sat down next to you and nodded
“i was a bit afraid just now. i heard a bang and think a bird flew into my window and i got scared i was being attacked”
“what? a bird? omg did you check????”
“yeah i saw feathers. i’m pretty sure it was a bird”
jungkook wasn’t convinced
he shot up and grabbed your hand, dragging you behind him to your room where he aggressively moved your curtains aside
he peered around, taking notice of the evident feathers still stuck on your window
“kookie?” you quietly called out when he didn’t say anything
“yeah? it’s all good. i don’t think anyone is around”
“okay”
jungkook had to admit his heart jumped to his throat when you told him you had heard a bang
his heart rate was calming down now that he had checked for enemies but adrenaline was still running in his system
he let out a sigh of relief and turned around to face you
you were standing there so innocently, hugging your own body and peering at him through loose strands of your hair
the moon shone trough the opened curtains and illuminated your shiny eyes and made your skin look angelic
you were truly beautiful those weren’t just rumors people spread around, jungkook understood that now
so his body reacted before he had the time to realize what he was doing
he engulfed your smaller frame in a hug
he carefully wrapped his arms around you and pressed your head against his chest, soothingly caressing the back of your head to tell you it was okay and you were safe now, there was no need to be afraid
you didn’t take long to respond, wrapping your hands around his waist and pressing your ear against his chest
“you should go back to sleep, (y/n). i’ll keep an eye on you, okay?”
“don’t you need to sleep?”
“if it means i get to protect you, then no”
“kookie how are you supposed to protect me during the day if you’re tired? at least sleep on my couch”
realizing you were right jungkook agreed
and even though you didn’t know who this boy was, you felt safe with him sleeping in the same room with you
the next day you noticed jungkook was being a bit more quiet
he was clearly in thought and you noticed him staring out of windows towards the village
maybe he was starting to miss his family and friends, you thought
he had been gone for almost a week now, wasn’t his family worried?
heck, you didn’t even know if he had family
just when you felt like you were making friends with him you realized you know absolutely nothing about him
but you wanted to know more, you wanted to be his friend
but you didn’t dare to ask him, he seemed like the type of person you should not bother when they’re deep in thought
so you kept doing you as jungkook quietly followed you around like a shadow
it wasn’t until the sun was finally setting down when jungkook finally said something to you
“when was the last time you left the castle?”
you sipped on your tea before glancing into the distance over the fence of the porch
“years ago. i might have been 15 or 16. i’m not completely locked up, i can go outside as long as it’s inside the walls”
jungkook hummed in response as he also stared outside
he had a look of admiration in his eyes looking at the scenery
the wind gently played with his soft, brown locks and the setting sun made his skin look like honey
“do you want to?”
“what? go outside?”
“yeah. to explore. meet new people in the village. try soup”
you snorted
“yes, soup boy. i dream of going out there every night, but i can’t. my parents would kill me even if i just asked”
“...have you ever like... tried to sneak out?”
“...no? i’m not suicidal, kookie”
“don’t be so dramatic. i used to sneak out as a kid all the time. it’s not that bad”
“you didn’t live in a castle full of guards, did you?”
jungkook shrugged
“i guess you have a point”
you nodded in agreement, taking another sip of your tea
after a short silence you decided to ask more about him
“you sneaked out a lot?”
“yee. i still do it as an adult”
“of course you do. how did you do it?”
“it’s easy once you get the gist of it. you gotta plan your escape during daylight, then execute during the night”
“you seem like an expert at this”
jungkook playfully wiggled his eyebrows at you
you huffed and turned to look at the village that could be seen
it looked inviting
you wanted nothing more than to go there, maybe as another commoner
you wanted to experience how other people your age lived their lives, make friends, go to public schools,,,,,, eat soup
“will you take me there one day?”
“princess (y/n), are you asking me to sneak you out of the castle?”
inside his head, jungkook was doing a victory dance
this was exactly what he wanted to hear you say
“maybe? so, will you?”
jungkook smirked at you
“i’ll think about it”
“i take that as a yes!” you cheered and stood up, ending the conversation there
skip time to nighttime again
you were in your bed about to fall into unconsciousness when suddenly something poked your cheek
you inhaled through your mouth in surprise and shot up
you quickly came to notice it was jungkook, but before you had the time to scold him you were choking on your own saliva
and finally you died from lack of oxygen
the end
jkjk you coughed there like you had pneumonia and jungkook looked a bit horrified
life flashed before his eyes when he thought this was how you were going to die
before you redeemed yourself and held your heart trying to catch your breath
“shit sorry didn’t mean to give you a stroke” -jungkook
“my own body guard just almost killed me” -you
“wtf you doing here anyways? they heard of knocking in your kingdom???”
“i got an idea”
you rubbed your temples in stress
this boys two brain cells decided to unite in the middle of the night and now he was here to tell you about it for some reason
“what is it?”
“let’s sneak out now”
you stared at him in disbelief wondering if you had heard him right
there was a bright smile on his face like he was proud of his idea and you had to admit it was cute but jesus christ
“kookie are you crazy? did you finally snap? people might want to murder me and you want to sneak out of the safety of this castle in the middle of the night?”
jungkook looked down, trying to think of a way to convince you it would be a quick run and he was a pro at this
“i heard there was a festival going on tonight. it would be the perfect opportunity to blend in and go unnoticed. no one could find you and harm you in a large crowd. especially when i’m there with you”
after jungkooks last sentence your heart skipped a beat
you stared at him for a good 10 seconds
and you couldn’t believe he actually convinced you to consider his idea
“besides no one is expecting you to run away. i’ll keep you safe, i promise”
and the second jungkook gave you a soft smile you were sold
damn he should be a salesman he could probably get you to buy anything
so there you were, a big hood on, sneaking behind jungkook on the castle property to try and find a way to climb over the walls
“don’t worry i already have an escape plan”
yeah right
“don’t worry there are people who probably want to murder you but we’re sneaking out of the most safe place you could be in” you thought to yourself
eventually jungkook helped you climb on top of a shack where you proceeded to climb the wall
you were surprised just how easy it was to actually escape
you hadn’t really ever dared to think about escaping by yourself
and if you got caught? you’d be dead for sure
you were still a little hesitant, but jungkook made sure you were following behind him, looking over his shoulder every 5 seconds
once over the wall, you stared into the dark forest right beside the castle and swallowed a lump
jungkook noticed this and quickly walked beside you, offering you to grab onto his arm
and you did, you held damn tight onto it
soon however, the two of you had made it to the edge of the village
and jungkook was right
you could hear loud music and people’s laughter all the way
he grinned at you when you squeezed his arm in response to the commotion
“see? we made it”
jungkook lead you through paths and roads all lit with lanterns
people started walking past you and the commotion got louder and louder
you kept your hood low so no one would recognize you
even though that was highly unlikely
until you had made it to the opening where the festival was held
people were dancing around
basically your mood went from “fuck i’m gonna die” to “holy shit this is beautiful” in a blink of an eye
jungkook saw it in your face and he realized this was his window to talk to his family
“hey umm you want soup? follow me”
before you could protest he was already pulling you towards a small restaurant right at the edge of the market
“wait here so people don’t see you. i’ll be right back”
you wondered why jungkook was acting so hurried all of a sudden but you still nodded your head
maybe he just really missed this soup you thought as you sat down on a bench to gaze at the people having fun at the market
a smile took over your features and you let yourself relax for a bit while being mesmerized over the view in front of you
you checked on jungkook inside the restaurant every once in a while and saw him happily chatting with the cashier
when all of a sudden you heard someone call out to you from the dark alleyway next to the building
“ma’am? could you help me lift this?”
you turned and saw a young black haired man smiling at you politely
he was lifting large boxes to a carriage
“sure” you smiled and stood up to help him
the two of you lifted up a box while the man examined you closely
“i haven’t seen you before. what’s your name?”
you slightly panicked but did your best to keep your cool
“oh, i’m from somewhere else. i’m visiting a friend. my name is... (y/n)”
you internally cringed at yourself for revealing your actual name but it was too late to take it back
“(y/n)? your parents named you after the princess?”
:)
fuck
“y-yeah... exactly”
“well (y/n), my name is park jimin”
your name is what
wait-
your eyes widened involuntarily and you looked up at the man
he was still examining you closely, almost like he was trying to read your mind, maybe waiting for you to reveal your secrets
now you didn’t like this man very much
you had no idea if he was lying or telling the truth but either way you didn’t like it
you needed to abort mission and get jungkook asap
“oh uhh my friend came back! it was nice meeting you i gotta go-”
he stepped in front of you when you tried to hurry past him and grabbed your wrists
“i knew it was you, princess”
“i don’t know what you’re talking about”
the man who claimed to be the actual park jimin was now pushing you further into the dark alleyway so you were out of people’s sight
you were too frozen from fear that your body became incapable of trying to fight him
“get in the carriage” he ordered
and out of actual terror you were about to oblige
when a voice coming from behind him stopped you both
“what do you think you’re doing?”
the man turned around and came face to face with jungkook who had two plates of steaming soup in his hands
jungkooks eyes widened when he realized what was going on
he panicked but managed to throw the steaming soups at the man
he screamed in pain and instantly let go of you
so you took your chance and dashed towards jungkook who quickly grabbed your hand and started running along with you, guiding you throughout some dark alleyways
he obviously knew these roads very well, making you question everything about him and who that man was
you knew jungkook wasn’t legit, but now you were even more confused
all you knew is that you trusted jungkook more than you trusted that man chasing after you
finally jungkook pulled you inside a house and locked the door behind him
he watched from the small window on the door and didn’t turn away before he saw the man running past thinking you were still running
he then turned to you but didn’t meet your eyes
he was too ashamed
and he was scared
“who was that?” you asked him in a demanding voice
jungkook knew he had to tell you the truth
so he took a deep breath and prepared himself
“that was park jimin, your bodyguard. but i don’t think his actual original intentions were to keep you safe”
to be continued
a/n: how do i always end up writing about chicken gdi

ALL RIGHT LADS
so some of y’all may remember the story of the best production of Hamlet i’ve ever seen
well welcome to the sequel
the best production of romeo and juliet i’ve EVER seen
in my ENTIRE life
again. it’s gonna be a long one
so.
this production was also put on by my little brother’s middle school class
it was WILD
literally
the theme was the wild west
they have a spaghetti dinner beforehand so it was a literal spaghetti western
the kid who played romeo, the one i used to babysit, also played hamlet last year
the kid has a flair for the dramatic
he was the most dumbass romeo i’ve ever seen and it worked so well with the show
the girl playing juliet was new this year, and she was INCREDIBLE
she’s the quietest kid but she has such a stage presence??
she also has this lovely demeanor that made everything juliet said sound really earnest and sincere
she literally said the first three words of the balcony speech and my wig was GONE y’all, it was SO BEAUTIFUL
((during the balcony scene, she was standing at a podium and romeo was just straight up lying on the ground and it might have been the funniest thing i’ve ever seen))
((romeo did a lot of lying on the ground dramatically))
my friend who played nurse already has a southern accent, but her delivery was s e n d i n g m e
she sounded like ye olde miley cyrus on crack
the kid playing benvolio was such a sweetie
i’ve known him since he was a baby and he just has the one brain cell but it is heart shaped and he is full of Love for Everything™
benvolio also just had the one brain cell
the kid playing friar lawrence apparently didn’t own a poncho or anything so he wore a burlap bag that someone cut a hole in
my little brother was tybalt and BOY lemme tell you
he had on this ridiculous poncho thing and a bandanna
he looked like a crackhead but he was actually really awesome???
especially considering he’s always like “oh, acting is your thing, blah blah blah”
oh, man, MERCUTIO
lemme tell y’all
the girl playing her had on a flannel and cowboy hat
also everyone kept saying “mercuRtio” and trying to be southern and it was hell on my ears but also hysterical
juliet had two moms and my soul ascended
they were both wearing flannels
the capulets said Gay Rights™
also in that one scene where they give Peter the invite list, they both left and peter just looks out at the audience and says in the most forlorn voice “i can’t read...........”
i was LOSING IT
paris was just??? not in the show??? honestly good riddance
nurse called romeo a dishrag and i was HOLLERING
romeo also had two moms!!!!
the montagues, coincidentally, also said Gay Rights™
this teeny gal was the prince and it was so funny, literally everyone onstage was like “oh shit the prince, he’s so scary and intimidating” and she’s like four foot nine and talked like a lil mouse
friar john had on the biggest, stupidest cowboy hat i’ve ever seen in my life and i was living for it
also.
HOLY SHIT.
DURING THE BALLROOM SCENE WHERE ROMEO AND JULIET MEET???
nurse goes “strike up the band” and FUCKING ‘OLD TOWN ROAD’ STARTS BLASTING FROM THE SPEAKERS
AT FIRST EVERYONE WAS JUST WALKING IN CIRCLES TO THE BEAT AND THEN HE GOES “I GOT THE HORSES IN THE BACK” AND ROMEO AND JULIET JUST STRAIGHT UP START S Q U A R E D A N C I N G
i was on the goddamn GROUND y’all
tybalt said “you’ve yeed your last haw” to romeo during the fight scene
“you’re like one of those guys that puts his gun on the bar and goes ‘sure hope i never have to use this’ then two drinks in you pull it on the bartender for being slow” -mercutio, to benvolio
“if i fought like you i’d have some HIGH LIFE INSURANCE” -benvolio, in response
juliet had on the prettiest dress i was literally about to cry
when romeo got exiled and went to go see the friar, they yelled back and forth for a hot minute, then romeo just,,,,lay down on the ground and started crying and lemme tell you if that ain’t the MOOD OF THE CENTURY
the wedding scene consisted of the friar in a bucket hat going “ok let’s get you two married” and then they just left?????
when tybalt died he goes “aaaaaaaaaaagh” and just fell down onto his face and it was actually hilarious
also when mercutio got stabbed she just goes “AAAAAAAAAAGHHHH I’VE BEEN STABBED.,,,,,,,,it HURT,,,,,,,,” and then let benvolio’s scrawny ass drag her off and it was the most in-character death scene i’ve ever seen
when lord cap was like “hey maybe DON’T kill romeo at my party” Tybalt just went in the corner and stared at people for the rest of the scene and honestly i felt that
mercutio had on a cowboy hat, did i mention the cowboy hat yet
nurse had on thigh-high cowboy boots you guys
THIGH
HIGH
COWBOY
BOOTS
i don’t even know where she got them
literally everyone was wearing flannel, a stupid hat, or both
i still haven’t gotten over romeo and juliet having their first meeting
the most famous romance scene IN HISTORY
literally the dance that sets the whole damn plot in motion to goddamn Old Town Road
side note, nothing’s ever gonna be funnier that benvolio in that scene
he was leading some kind of weird conga line before the square dance started???
just aggressively stomping the ground to the beat with his hands on his hips
“i’m gonna (S T O M P) my (S T O M P) to the (S T O M P) town (S TO M P), i’m gonna (S T O M P) riiiiiiiiide till i (S T O M P) no more”
juliet’s all “then let lips do what hands do, you kiss by the book, blah blah blah, give me my sin again” and fuckin’ billy ray’s in the background like “I G O T T H E H O R S E S I N T H E B A C K”
i got a video and i’m going to watch it on a loop for two days
anyway so yeah that’s the best production of romeo and juliet i’ve ever seen**
thanks for reading lads
**live production. the dicaprio version is still the best version of all time and y’all can fight me on this
#romeo and juliet#romeo montague#Juliet Capulet#romeo and juliet 1996#old town road#country#western#spaghetti western#shakespeare#shakespeare memes#william shakespeare#tybalt capulet#storytime#story time#y'all are gonna love this joint#please rb

Dear Misty,
@mercedeslackeyblog - please print this for her in the hospital! I want her to know we all love her and are rooting for her.
You have been one of the icons in my life for as long as I’ve been reading. Seriously. I picked up “Arrows of the Queen” when I was twelve and fell dizzyingly in love. So in love, in fact, that my father bought me the set of them leatherbound. It was one of the last things he ever bought me. They sit on my shelf with me wherever I move to (and I have moved a lot). They are the epitome of my childhood.
How do I even begin to explain what you have meant to me? I wrote you a fan letter in my teens, but I don’t think it ever reached you. Websites were less...polished then. I tried to find a copy to see what I had said, but I don’t have it anymore, so I’ll write this from scratch.
First off, for someone growing up in the 90s, sexuality was a difficult topic. My father was Catholic about it. My mother was liberal about acceptance, but not very liberal about giving us the tools to recognize it. I didn’t really accept the fact I was bi until I was 26 (last year). It was an embarrassing realization, because I had always been conditioned to already think women were interesting and cool and beautiful. But I honestly and truly believe one of the reasons I grew up being so tolerant of sexuality wasn’t my mother’s liberal attitude, but because of the fantasy I read, which didn’t use sexuality as a dramatic plot device. Your books, especially, in depicting queer relationships, poly relationships, and interracial relationships in such an ordinary light, in such a non-complaining, non special, non interesting way (as it should be!) that to me it became ordinary. I didn’t understand the big fuss when people started coming out in eighth and ninth grade. Well of course Brett could like boys. Silverfox did, and he’s one of my favorite characters, a fictional hero who I use to help combat my own anxiety and work through impossible situations. I didn’t understand why liking girls was so shocking. Keren was the impossibly cooler most perfect big sister/coach figure. I was into horse back riding until 16 (when, unfortunately, my horse died). Keren has a lot of the surly riding instructor in her, and it was a far more interesting aspect of her personality than her relationship with Sheri. Keren had even assured Sheri she would have been welcome as their third. As a kid, it hadn’t even occurred to me to make an argument against it. I - Talia’s age - agreed with her. When life gives you child brides and weird cult compounds, it’s better to find love where you can. Genuine love. Regardless of anything else.
Secondly, it was a book I needed when I didn’t know I would need it. A lot of fiction - especially geared at children - skates lightly over topics of depression, anxiety, and loss. Don’t get me wrong, I love Harry Potter with my soul. But even at the age I read it I felt the shallowness of their reactions when Sirius died. I felt my own reaction even crying while reading the book to be stronger. It would infuriate me that the next book they sort of conveniently forgot it had only been a few weeks/months. That Harry was “sad but manageable.” For context, my dad contracted Lou Gehrig’s disease at 44. They told him he had likely already had the disease 10 years. He lost everything; his temper, his dignity, bits of his mind at a time. Any filter between his brain and his mouth. His fine motor control, like holding a spoon. His major motor control, like being able to stand up. He was in a powerchair within the year. As the oldest daughter, it was expected that I would help turn him, change his catheter, and answer his shrill screams in the night. I was fourteen years old.
Dad and I were inseparable. Father-daughter relationship compounded by the fact he had, in essence with a flexible work schedule, been a stay at home dad. He had been my primary caregiver, my confidante, my chef, my advisor, my everything. And now I was his punching bag as he lost a bit of himself at a time. “My friend, who’s a psychiatrist,” Mom always said it this way, to make sure we knew she wasn’t so weak as to need therapy. A challenge to dare us to say we did. “He says that he’s hardest on you, because he’s most assured of your love. That he can abuse you and scream at you and curse at you because he knows you’ll go back the next day. A moth to a flame.” And me staring blankly at her: “Of course I will.” Because even if it was my worst fear - it was, always had been - even if it hurt worse than I could have ever imagined - his death would have broken me, but only in half. His suffering crushed the pieces of me into dust and left me a gaping black thing sucking in the world - “I love him too much to miss a moment of this.” Even if every minute - every possible second - was me reminding myself I had to breathe and feeling my lungs on fire, my head was on the edge of a migraine, it was impossible to interact, but I had to. I had to smile. To go to high school. To turn in assignments on time regardless of the cost between going to bed at 2 and hearing him scream at 3.
Your books, though, weren’t fake. I held onto them with the assurance of that one quote: life is the scream into the void; art is the answer you are not alone. I held onto the depression and grief and trauma of your characters and felt sane. If I hadn’t, I might have thought I was losing my mind. I was, of course. And I had been conditioned Catholically to think of mental health as a weakness, a secret shame. I had been told by my mother psychologists and medication were wonderful advancements for those people; sick people. Sick in their mind, she would say smugly. Her adamant assurance was: “We have to go on like usual. We can’t let people know we’re struggling.” And so we did. Social events. Big smiles. Sleepovers (somewhere else, my friends explained, your dad bums us out). People didn’t find out he was dying until prom of my senior year. I was on the receiving end of a lot of horror from teachers (why didn’t you tell us? Ask for an extension?) I had to be normal I wanted to tell them, but I didn’t even know how to begin to explain.
Once a pediatrician told my mom I was deeply angry and tired; I was losing my father. I was fifteen. I needed to see a counselor. My mom went ballistic in a public waiting room. She aggressively turned to me and asked if this was true? There was no chance, of course, for me to disagree. I didn’t even want to. My loyalty to my family was (is) so strong that seeing anyone upset her so badly had put my back against the wall and made me bare my teeth. I reflect a lot on it now; how poorly that doctor handled it, the way she would have bungled it much worse if it had been physical abuse. You never confront the person in front of the child. Never don’t have a safety plan in place.
“She said you were so young,” my mother snarled on the way home. “When we both know you haven’t been young in years. I watched you. Watched you go from fifteen to twenty in months instead of years. Don’t you think?”
I could only nod, and when I covered my mouth, fingertips touched wet skin. I hadn’t been young in years.
Darkwind was someone I identified heavily with. Someone who changed his name, cut his hair, let his grief consume him. Someone who shied away from Silverfox’s help. Someone who was glad when his father still got some. The day of my dad’s funeral, I cut off my hair. I was 19. The nightmare had lasted five years. I had stayed home to go to a local college so I could keep living at home, keep shielding my younger sisters, keep driving them to school and viola practice and karate. I had to give up my extracurriculars early on (and lie, of course, on my applications). It was actually a disaster at the hair cutting place (not important, but the lady called the police thinking I had stolen her cell phone which had fallen behind some tools). I went home. My mother took one look at my hair and told me it made my face look fat. “It’s for Dad,” I said steadily. In my mind, I was howling like Darkwind. I wondered if I could break my name into grief and sorrow, but it was too hard to think of the name I might have been, since the person I had been was as dead as dad was.
On days where my two younger sisters were scared and confused (the youngest was 13 when he died), I read them The Fairy Godmother and One Good Knight. They liked that one especially well. I went on to absorb almost all of your works (I think it’s impossible though, to be honest. There are just so many that either you’re a witch or I keep reading the same ones again and thinking I’ve never read them. For instance, I have a Bard Song on my nightstand right now from a bargain bin. Never read it before. Recently read Four and Twenty Blackbirds). Of course, my favorite series was Valdemar. I know all those characters the best, having reread most of them over again several times. I liked Elemental Masters, 700 Kingdoms (some). I was sad that the Beauty & the Beast stories in both weren’t my favorites (The Fire Rose, Beauty and the Werewolf, since it’s my favorite Disney film (but as your stories follow the traditional fairytale a little closer, and that tale is a bit gross, I understand). I think my favorites were The Firebird, Phoenix and Ashes, Reserved from the Cat, The Wizard of London).
Honestly, I may be a tiny minority, but I ADORE Joust. I was sad there weren’t more of them. I spent much of the time I read them inventing my own dragon egg, my own falling through time and space. My own female girl rider takes on the Team without being just a sidekick who talked to animals. It is hard to recommend or talk about it without people laughing, and I appreciate it IS an incredibly hard-core nerd fantasy genre (ancient Egypt, jousting, dragons). It feels a lot like Anne McCaffery crossed with a Naomi Novik story (since Temeraire and Napoleonic Wars are equally hard-core nerd stories. I was lucky to stumble on that line recently - I feel like there’s not enough of the true blue 80s/90s fantasy voice anymore. Sometimes it feels all too dark and plot driven, lacking the characters and slice of life that your works have nestled in my heart, places like the Palace Compound that I know as well as I knew my middle and high schools. A place as real to me as they are, including my own room. My own Companion. My own Heraldic Whites when I turned 18 and took the leatherbound books from my father in an eyestinging rush of love.
Even now when I was looking up a list of your work, I’m amazed and appalled to see I haven’t caught any of your works since 2009 or so. HOW MANY ARE THERE 100? 200? I thought there were 70 something, but no, you’ve far outstripped yourself. I usually pick up the books in secondhand shops. I’ll go straight for “L” and then just tip all of them into my arms if I haven’t read them. It’s one of my favorite rainyday activities. I noticed you even have a book out this year! CRAP! It should not be POSSIBLE you can write faster than I can read! I’m 27 and I still read a lot of the books that came out when I was born or in diapers. Sometimes I wonder which books you’ve written are your favorites. If there are books you’ve written you skim through like “hmmm I don’t even remember this” and read it with the same laughing intensity as the rest of us, resting your thumb on “oh yes, this was when I was...”
Anyway. I know this letter is long. You’ve been a saint for even getting this far. So let me say this. When I think of the BEST writers of fantasy in the 20th and 21st centuries, your name is among the greats. I’ll say something like: Anne McCaffery’s Dragonriders of Pern; Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game; Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time; Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar...and EVERYTHING ELSE. A lot more people know the names of George R.R. Martin, of J.K. Rowling, of Neil Gaiman. But none of them have put out the solid, unending stream of work that literally POPULATES what most people consider “fantasy.” Your ideas, your work, your world-building influence television, influence Dungeons & Dragons, other works. You are a Giant in your field, and even if you don’t feel it, you have laid the groundwork for an entire generation to lay themselves reverently on the altar of your sacrifice, your reflection of relationships, and taught young girls like me what it was to embrace themselves, in all shapes - black tar and bi pride.
I know you probably tire of hearing this, but I want to be an author. And I’m a good writer. I don’t say it boastfully. I say it as something I’ve always heard, from teachers and friends and magazines. But mom said being an author was like being an actor - a pipe dream, a thing to do “on the side” and “as a hobby.” And it is a hobby of mine, for now. I did the Responsible Thing and became a lawyer. It was quite horrible. But I did it. For Dad, you know. Legacy and all that.
But don’t you DARE die before I’m published. I’m not talking about the hospital right now. I’m talking about choking on a banana; slipping on the sidewalk; getting mobbed by adoring fans. It is literally my bucketlist to publish a book, to meet you, to dedicate the book to a woman who I’ve never met, who I’ve never known, but who had influenced and impacted my life SO profoundly I consider her characters as pieces of myself. Her worlds as places of safety when I’m sad. The helping hand she held out to a twelve year old girl, and fifteen years later the one I’m still gripping tightly.
YOU are one of the best women in my life, and one of the best role models I’ve ever known. Even if we’ve never met, knowing that you could be a deeply nerdy human who loves horses and magic and reading every day and still be “successful” when the world outside told me I dressed wrong and looked wrong and felt wrong. That I needed to pick up a magazine, or watch sitcoms, or generally stop making them feel pitying and uncomfortable because of the things I liked. You made me proud to be a feminist, an ally, a writer, a dreamer, a reader, and maybe only lately of my sexuality, but still growing and going forward.
So, here’s lots of love and adoration and gratitude flooding your way from:
One herald (whose companion was someone she knew in real life reincarnated too early, obviously grove born, with mindspeech, with magic, of course and lifebonded with a Kestra'chern. Predictably, I fought the lifebonding every step of the way, and consider him a great nuisance).
One dragon rider in the jousting wars (with a dragon named Altaira (high flying) who is such a deep dark color she seems black but ripples cobalt and violet).
One grateful apprentice to the Fairy Godmother, who herself was saved from one of a great many plots by the impetus of her father’s illness/death.
And of course, from one persnickety lawyer in DC, drowning in student loan debt and of course too many books, one cat too pretty to be a boy named Gandalf, and his Greyhounds (yes, two, who are very lowkey and I think you would like. They’re like large sleeping cats more than dogs, but very friendly with horses). Of course I named the cat Gandalf simply for the introduction of “Gandalf, the Greyhounds.” Originally I wanted to name a dog “Gandalf...the Greyhound” but because of who I am I went to the shelter and asked for the dog least likely to get adopted and sort of came out with a bonded pair and then it seemed they needed twin names so they’re named Fred & George after Harry Potter.
But rambling aside, I adore you. I adore your books. I adore the world you’ve given freely for us to play in. Get well soon, and lots, lots, and lots of love. I’ll be playing in my worlds today especially a lot, thinking of you.
All the best,
Kaylee

the malfoy family was well known, well respected and grossly wealthy; their place in pureblood society was secured for generations to come. but by the time lucius was born his parents had run through quite a lot of the family fortune and their old money was quickly slipping through their fingers. lucius lived in a world surrounded by finer things and experiences while his family quietly went broke, but they kept up appearances. their choices only made their financial situation worse and another child added increased burden. their picturesque life was a lie and lucius struggled to balance his public lies with his private truth. he was just a kid and suddenly he was stuck raising his baby sister because his parents were so overcome by debt and burdens to care, and to also carry the family name to new heights, to redeem them, to dig them out of this hole.
all the pressure was on lucius to rescue his family from a boat he didn’t build or bury but he was ashamed of his parents and the reputation they were ruining and the rumors that were swirling. he compensated by being boastful and arrogant, to make people believe he was a charming boy with all the money and privilege in the world. but the malfoy name was quickly losing weight and traction and no amount of grace could save them. still he tried, he was emptying an ocean with a paper cup. his parents thought siding with the dark lord would save them, but the man asked so much of them while giving them very little. he had reduced lucius’s parents to birds begging for scraps and being grateful for a pinch of stale bread. but what could he do, he was just a boy with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
at school lucius did well until his home problems began to truly eat him alive. he was putting all his energy into keeping up a persona, of pretending to be someone and something he wasn’t that his grades began to slip and he wasn’t sleeping well at all. when the dark lord died he took both his pressures and his benefits with him and lucius’s parents were devastated. the last thing lucius expected was for the two to clean out the accounts and disappear the day he and carina went back to school. now lucius might be free of a very dark future at the foot of an evil man but he finds himself with no money, few prospects and a little sister he has to care for. the school is doing what it can to help but lucius is so proud, he wants to do it on his own. his whole focus has returned to his studies so he can get the best possible job when he graduates.
AESTHETIC
the chill of marble, a king with no crown, silk sheets, an air of elegance, familial pressure, the smell of smoke, classical music, inner turmoil, invasive doubt, light that drifts in through cracks, plants that won’t die, a disdain for the ordinary, a gilded cage is still a cage, rocketing toward ruin, dark waters, silver wrapped mirrors, are we born wicked?
TRAITS
+ debonair + dutiful
- narcissistic - insecure
CONNECTIONS
1. narcissa black she has captivated him for some time now and despite his rather obvious feelings for her he doesn’t think he’s worth her time. the blacks are at the very top of the pureblood circle he is no longer a part of and he is sure a now very poor boy with no home and no parents is not the sort her parents hope for her to be with. but when he is around her he can’t help but feel absolutely smitten and he tries to show off, knowing how futile it is. his bragging and arrogance has no foundation anymore and their once precocious and flirty banter seems inappropriate so he has reluctantly begun to avoid her.
2. augustus rookwood & walden macnair they were supposed to be his friends, or so he was told but the moment he met them he was disgusted with their values and beliefs. two boys with all the things lucius pretended to have and not one solid brain cell between them, or so he thought. they were just smart enough to be dangerous and lucius did his best to stay on their good side. he was sort of in charge of them for a few years until his private struggles became public and even the dolts were above him in the food chain. now lucius does all he can to steer clear of them, as their aggression is now aimed at him and his delicate nature means he stands little chance of winning if things turn violent.
3. carina malfoy she was an unplanned addition to the family and their parents immediately neglected her and treated her like the burden she technically was. but even as a child lucius loved her, she was quiet where their parents were always dramatic. he didn’t like how they treated her, she didn’t ask to be born and they’d have no trouble raising two children if they hadn’t been so irresponsible. lucius did what he could to counter their parents poor behavior and somehow he got her to where she is now. even though he has been acting like a parent for so long he isn’t prepared for the reality of getting them both through her last two years at school, though he would never tell her how terrified he really is.

Cor Tutor Chapter 2/? - Perc’ahlia fanfic
When Vex heads home after a long chat with Pike, Saundor enters the scene. Percival and Vex meet for the first time and it's entirely unconventional.
Read the first chapter on AO3: (X)
“I don’t know, Pike, Percival de Frankenstein Von Muscle Claws-out-seat de Rolo the Third? He obviously must be a completely loaded dickhead if he’s got such a long fucking name. Vax and I probably ransacked his place a few years ago, probably stole his prized pocket watch or ugh-” Vex cut off in a frustrated growl, aggressively tugging at her braid as she sank down into her seat a bit.
Pike, glancing up from her textbook, offered a sympathetic smile, shrugging her shoulders, “Oh, I don’t know, Vex,” she sighed softly, brushing some stray strands of her blonde hair behind her ear, “It might not be a bad thing, you might just make a friend out of it.”
“Or I might just make a rich little fuck bleed,” Vex spits out, crossing her arms tightly over her chest, the very image of a petulant child. He’ll probably be just like all the other rich little fucks from “home,” who mocked her and her brother at every turn for their attempts to fit in and then for their attempts to stay as far away as they could from their little niche cliques.
Pike covered her mouth to hide her smile at Vex’s current, pouting state, though her dimples gave her away anyway. “Well, I wouldn’t judge him too harshly,” she offers, taking a bite of the bagel she’d bought before trudging to the library. “I’ve never met him personally, but he seems to carry a lot of weight with him. He and his sister lost their entire family in a fire, you know.”
Vex rolled her eyes as though that information didn’t matter. She and her brother lost their mother to a fucked up murderer, but you don’t see them asking for pity.
“He’s not asking for pity, though,” Pike says, reading her mind because, of course, Pike knows her and all of their friends better than anyone (or even themselves), “I just know that from what I’ve heard.”
Vex’ahlia flips through her textbook, pretending to give a shit before finally, she’s giving a loud groan of defeat, “Fine, I won’t chicken out, but I will find you to complain when he’s fucking gushing about money or he turns out to be a complete creep.”
Pike makes a soft, popping noise with her lips as her eyes flare, surely searching for the right words to scold Vex’ahlia for jumping to conclusions, but when she sees the twinkling mirth in Vex’s eyes, she falters. “You can’t joke with me like that right now,” she weakly informs, soft, platinum waves bouncing as she shakes her head, “My brain is just…completely fried and it isn’t even midterms.”
Vex offers a sympathetic smile as she reaches over, rubbing Pike’s shoulder supportively, “You’ll charge through this semester like you always do. Nursing is just one giant battle to get through, isn’t it?”
“Oh yeah,” Pike sighs, her scrawny shoulders seeming to deflate as she slumped forward. Vex knows that being the mother hen of their little rag-tag group of friends doesn’t help her studies either, whether it’s from Grog coming to her to question her about itchy balls for “his friend” or Scanlan drooling all over her.
Thankfully, Pike is always level-headed, even when she’s bogged down.
“I’m going to head home and find out whether my brother’s still at Gilmore’s or out with ‘his Kiki,’” she retches a bit, clumsily snatching her bag and dragging it from the table as she stands.
“Well, whoever he’s with, it’ll do him some good,” Pike pointedly arches a brow as she glances up over her book to Vex.
“He might be sleeping with them both,” Vex dramatically groans, whipping her bag over her shoulder. “I can’t fucking understand him, sometimes, Pike. Love is shit,” she kicks the leg of the chair she’d previously been lounging in to push it back into the table, resulting in a squeak that has a few, annoyed glares from other library-goers directed towards her. “Fuck off,” Vex mutters, scowling.
Pike only looked at her with those easy-to-read eyes, clearly throwing out an “I’m worried about you” gaze that has Vex twisting her lips in frustration. “I don’t know,” she exasperatedly bit out, “I’m happy that he’s getting out and being with people, but I’m also his detached Siamese twin and I miss him sometimes,” Pike’s full attention is on her now, though she’s lightly nibbling at her bagel. Her eyes soften and fill Vex with reassurance that what she’s saying isn’t insane. Pike is one of the only people she can actually talk to, anyway. Grog wants to talk about drinking, football or bashing faces in, Scanlan wants to flirt with his foul limericks, Keyleth wants to talk about her manic-pixie thoughts about nature and Trinket, well, Trinket can only listen and wuff.
“I’m afraid he’ll stop telling me things, I’m afraid he has stopped telling me things.”
Pike waited a few beats after this to be sure Vex had fully ranted before, in the way Vex and their other friends often mimicked when Pike wasn’t there, said: “Well…” she took a few seconds as she searched for words before giving Vex a smile. “I think you’d certainly do well to tell him that, but maybe not so…”
“Pissily?” Vex offers with a weak grin, and Pike nods.
“I’m sure he’s not keeping you out of the loop, anyway, but it might be awkward to talk about his love life, you know?” she offers.
“Yeah, you’re right,” there’s less of a weight on her chest and she’s grateful for that. Vex pushed her bag’s strap further up her shoulder and gave a nod. “You usually are, anyway. I’ll be off, then. Text you later and try not to drown in books, yeah?”
Pike looks visibly relieved to have helped in some way and bobs her head, smile brightening. “Yeah. I’ll try.”
Vex exits the library, scowling faintly at the cloudy sky before setting off-campus for her and Vax’s flat.
She was nearly finished with untangling her headphones when she heard a sudden, echoing pang of footsteps behind her. Unbidden paranoia had her glancing over her shoulder, and it wasn’t useless unbidden paranoia either.
His pale skin and his oaky brown eyes had a way of making her stomach twist and the way his greasy, slick black hair clung to his face made her skin crawl.
She’d never come across a person who made her so uncomfortable. Sure, Syldor brought forth tsunamis, but never a discomfort as this.
Saundor.
Vex quickly surveyed the area; thankful that she’d forgone any alley shortcuts and stuck to the open sidewalk.
She was also thankful that there was no chance Vax would happen upon this.
It’d all started a year ago, when she’d gone on a class trip between her Advanced Earth Sciences course and Keyleth’s Writing With Nature elective (to go to the forest once a week just to write seemed entirely boring to her). As Vex had eyed the group, as she always eyed any groups or persons around her, she noted Saundor, slinking far and away from the rest of the students.
Vex, tired of Keyleth’s not-so-inconspicuous questions about Vax, had approached him. She was always fond of outcasts, having been one herself, and knew it’d be her good deed of the day to chat up the pale, pale boy.
Vax always insisted they should be guarded, always said that most people wanted the wrong things from them. Meeting their group of friends (or rather, the S.H.I.T.s as they’d called themselves for that one karaoke contest) had been a completely chance occurrence, and a good one, at that.
Vex, of course, did love doing the opposite of what he said.
And so she spoke with him, briefly, about his course. It was for her own benefit, really, as she was curious as to what they even wrote about.
Immediately, she realized Vax was right and she’d been horribly stupid.
“I feel as though I’ve known you for a very long time,” Saundor had told her, ignoring her question entirely, and the intensity of his gaze still made her cringe to that very day.
She’d immediately stuttered out a horrible excuse, something along the lines of: “I think my friend needs help getting a leaf out of her hair,” and hurriedly left.
Needless to say, she was happy to endure Keyleth’s dreamy, dedicated soliloquies about the trees that day, though Saundor watched her the entire time from afar.
It hadn’t ended there, of course. After snooping about, Saundor found her name, her social media, messaged her on every possible platform for weeks. He told her of his intense feelings of her, described how she appeared to him the first time he saw her on that trip, tried to convince her that they were ‘destined’ for one another.
Vex had simply blocked him, but he found her cell-phone number next, called her when she wasn’t around and Vax, being the asshole he was, had answered the phone and immediately confronted her after Saundor demanded to know who he was and why he thought he had any worth to Vex, who belonged with him.
She’d told him everything, and while Vax was entirely pissed off for a day (she knew it reminded him of the reason why he’d joined that shit little Clasp gang when they were young), he’d bought her a switchblade and made her promise to keep it close, even though he knew she already had the pepper spray he’d bought her when she’d been far younger.
Things had been quiet for a few days, but eventually, they’d found a stick on their doorstep with a rudimentary carving of a very Vex-like woman and Saundor-like male. After that, Vax had insisted upon walking her to class for a week, and eventually, thankfully, Saundor had gone away.
But now, he was here again, following her with those disgustingly sad eyes.
“What the fuck do you want?” Vex hissed as she turned on her heel, mentally reminding herself that her switchblade was in the front pocket of her messenger bag if he got to close, and her pepper spray on her keychain if he pissed her off from afar.
“I only wanted to see you; I missed you,” Saundor said in his soft, melancholic rumble of a voice.
“You don’t know me,” Vex immediately retorted with ire, not at all phased by the way he forlornly tilted his head at her, as if he didn’t quite get what she was saying.
He moved closer, until he was at least two feet away from her and offered a chilling smile, his hand extended towards her, “You do, though,” he said, “We have a deal to make, one that will help us both. I understand your pain, your mother-“
Vex’s horribly-contained-cool completely shattered, melting into a molten, livid rage, “You don’t fucking know her, you don’t have the right to speak of her!” she spat out, nostrils flaring and eyes blazing. Her fists were clenched so hard that her nails left half-moons upon her palms, body trembling with the urge to charge, to bash his fucking face in. The fucker had probably found the fucking newspaper articles of her murder online, probably poured over every little thing he could find from fucking Google.
“I know enough to know that we are meant-“
Vex phased out, forcing her mind to ignore his aside to glance around at their surroundings, at…
A head of stark, white hair approaching caught her eye and immediately, Vex was moving past Saundor towards the man, no, student with white hair (she’d ponder over why the fuck he had white hair later) and a long navy colored coat.
“Darling,” she cooed, to the stranger’s obvious befuddlement. Ignoring his confusion, she reached for his hand that wasn’t clutching a bag and gripped it tightly in hopes that he’d understand something wasn’t right. “I’m glad you caught up with me.”
“I’m…” the stranger’s blindingly blue eyes studied her for a moment, his brow furrowed lightly before he looked past her to Saundor. “I-I’m glad too?” he asked unconvincingly.
“Of course you are, dear,” she crooned, turning to look to Saundor, who, thankfully, looked entirely confused. She hardly knew him and she knew this could be bad, that he could act upon his possible rage, but she had no problem beating the ever-loving shit out of him herself. “I was just giving this stranger directions to the university, but I didn’t expect you to surprise me like this!” her tone is so honeyed and drenched with sweetness that Vex wants to either vomit or scrape the sugar from her tongue with a hot knife. Still, it’s the kiss she places on the stranger’s scruffy, peppered cheek that has her reeling from her obscenity. The poor man takes it though, his face flushing into a lovely shade of pink. “I-I,” he stutters, his hand trembling lightly in her grip, “I wanted to-ahsurprise you,” he repeats, lifting his other hand with a bag that she recognizes as take out. Judging by the distinct, spicy smell, she can only conclude that it’s from Jarret’s place.
“You brought me takeout? Oh, darling.”
The stranger looks to the bag and then her, suddenly wearing an expression that’s honestly hilarious in that moment, a look that clearly states “Don’t you even think about it.”
But she does.
Vex turns to peer over her shoulder and fucking thankfully, Saundor has vanished. She immediately drops the stranger’s hand and knowing fully well that she’s an asshole, she takes his bag of takeout.
He stutters adorably as she walks down the sidewalk with purpose, her free hand finding her can of pepper spray, just in case Saundor’s waiting for her around a corner.
“W-Wait!” he calls as he finally figures out how to form words, and she rolls her eyes before glancing over her shoulder, giving him one of her trademark winks before calling: “Thanks!”
She needs to take a long, hot shower to get Saundor’s grimy words off of her, completely devour her unexpected spoils and not mention a single fucking thing to Vax.
Just after she’s fallen asleep past midnight, after a long, struggling session of trying to understand some of her stats homework so she wouldn’t seem like a total idiot for her tutoring session, her phone vibrates.
With a single, squinting eye, Vex noted a message from Percival, plugged into her contacts as “The Tutor” with an eye-rolling emoji resting beside it.
When she opened her phone to view the message, she wasn’t sure she was even fucking awake.
Miss Vessar
I’ll be happy to work with you tomorrow, as requested, at two in the afternoon. Please find me on the second floor of the library in the corner behind the large stack collection. Have a good evening.
-Percival Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III
For a long time, Vex stared at her phone screen, lips parted and eyes wide open in confusion.
With numb fingers, she replied with a simple “Ok. Thanks,” before she promptly rolled onto her side and broke out in guffawing laughing.
She laughed until she was “hoo”ing for breath, her stomach pinching and her eyes watering.
Who in the world wrote texts like they’d been sent by raven? Honestly, it was adorable.
“What the fuck, Vex’ahlia?” Vax groaned from his nearby mattress, the thought of why she was laughing making her snicker to herself.
“Oh, nothing. Go back to sleep, brother,” she sidled further down under her covers, holding her phone to her stomach for a moment before returning it to the floor beside her mattress.
She had to admit, she felt a bit better about walking into the library to meet Percival the next day after that text, or rather, intrigued.
The next day, before class, she’d spent a bit of time on her bulking laptop to search his name up, pleased to find a social media account. Before school, during the days her and Vax struggled for a foothold to let her study, she’d done a similar form of work for Gilmore. He’d send her client names and she’d find everything she could online, all with the purpose of gathering Gilmore all the information on them as she could so he could successfully barter or appeal to them.
The only profile on Percy contained no pictures of the man in question, though, instead, his profile picture was a sketch of a mask with goggles and a long, dark beak. It was odd, but it had her keen on meeting him. Vex liked odd people (not the Saundor kind of odd), her entire group of friends had their oddities about them. She’d rather be as far from the aristocratic, snobby children who mocked those who were different and be with the different.
Vax, of course, hated her easygoing feelings on strangers, always insisted that she needed to be more wary of people and insisted upon this even more after the Saundor-incident. .
As Vex walked towards the aisle of over-sized books, she felt a mild trepidation, wondered if she was about to meet Saundor the Second, or perhaps someone even worse.
Shaking off her worries and touching a finger to the small blue feather hanging from a chain upon her neck as she always did when anxious, Vex stepped behind the rack.
When she spotted a head of white hair in disarray, her eyes blew wide open.
Fuck.
